Artist Statement

My practice is rooted in a fascination of becoming. Each work is built in correlation to the multitude of possibilities. Layer by layer, I create worlds that invite reflection and discovery utilizing color, movement, and perception. I enjoy working between abstraction and presence, as it symbolizes the complexity of existence and the fluidity of identity. I am guided by experimentation, intuition, and learning, overall seeking to understand how we are continuously formed and transformed throughout our lives.

Bio

Chayel Moses is an interdisciplinary artist based in Upstate New York. Her work investigates the intersections between color, movement, and perception, translating intricate experiences into vibrant, layered moments across canvas, film, and sound.

She presented her first solo exhibition, Behind the Veil and of the Senses, at Littlefield Performance + Art Space in Brooklyn, NY (2026). Her work has also been featured in a number of group exhibitions, including Meatsuits at Blue Cones Studio (2026), Dreamscapes at Tubac Center for the Arts (2025), and Explorations of Color at Site Gallery (2025).

Through her practice, Moses combines formal experimentation with a nuanced exploration of human experience, producing work that is both visually striking and conceptually rich.
